The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 profoundly changed the demographics of the United States and laid the basis for the immigration system we have today. How has this act shaped Asian America? What are its legacies for Latine and African American communities? How has it impacted the U.S. South, especially the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area? "Six Decades Later" is a symposium that explores the complicated legacies of this act and its implications for us all now.
