The Asian American & Diaspora Studies Program supports interdisciplinary study of the historical and current-day status of Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, and the Asian diaspora in the United States and beyond. Graduate students from the humanities and social sciences who are pursuing work related to Asian American history, literature, visual arts, performance, activism, among other topics, are encouraged to apply.
The Duke University Center for International & Global Studies (DUCIGS) invites proposals for student-driven working groups for the 2019 – 2020 Academic Year. These working groups should be thematic in nature – with a clear global focus, and interdisciplinary in their membership. DUCIGS will provide up to $1,000 annually per working group for expenses related to meetings, including food, readings and audio-visual materials. Additional funds may be requested during the year for workshops, symposia, mini-conferences, and publications. DUCIGS Working Groups from the 2018-2019 academic year are encouraged to re-apply.
